Bus service via SRTA to Fall River & New Bedford
The SRTA bus will picks up and drops off students at the shuttle hut at the head of campus due to the size of their buses. Please plan your trips accordingly.
In partnership with SRTA, we offer students the ability to ride SRTA buses at no cost by simply showing your UMass Pass. View the SRTA Bus routes and schedule. SRTA provides access to routes and stops in Fall River, New Bedford, and the surrounding area.
Last bus: The SRTA #9 bus provides transportation from the Main Campus to the New Bedford and Fall River Bus terminal. The bus also makes all intermediary stops along its route from UMassD to the New Bedford terminal.

Peter Pan bus service to Boston
Want to go to the explore the Southcoast or head to Boston? The Peter Pan bus runs from the New Bedford Bus terminal to Boston (South Station) daily. Purchase tickets.
South Coast Commuter Rail
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has a commuter rail from Fall River/New Bedford to Boston called the South Coast Rail. View South Coast Commuter Rail schedule.
