BIO 436: Human Pathophysiology - spring

Prerequisite: BIO 214 and BIO 234 or 235. Senior standing or permission of the instructor.

Survey of the basic principles and diagnostic tools associated with clinical pathophysiology. Topics include an anatomy primer, general concepts of disease, principles of diagnosis, inflammation/repair and histopathology. Cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems are the primary focus of the course (topics subject to change). The course culminates with each student researching and presenting an assigned disease topic.
