BNG 318: Biomeasure & Instrumentation - fall

Prerequisite: ECE 211 and ECE 251 or ECE 201 or EGR 302, and PHY 112 or PHY 114

Fundamental theory, and operational principles of biomedical instrumentation and measurement systems. This course introduces students to measurement and analysis of biological signals to understand underlying physiological mechanisms and for disease diagnosis. Specific topics include bioelectric signals, biopotential electrodes, measurement of flow and pressure, biochemical signals, data acquisition and amplification, and biomedical imaging technologies.
