NUR 715: Innovative & Appl Mixed Methds - fall
Prerequisite: Matriculated in PhD Program, NUR 700, 705, 710, 712, & 714
Examination and application of mixed-methods techniques, with a focus on innovative methodology and online research. Learning activities will include (1) seminars on conceptual underpinnings and approaches to mixed methods research; (2) simulated interviews and data collection; (3) simulated data analysis with existing data sets; (4) application of skills to mixed method (MM) project design in individual research areas, and (5) peer review of scholarly work. The course will also enhance the student¿s ability to identify potential funding for a proposal. The development of this course is guided by the AACN Guidelines for the Research-Focused Doctoral Program in Nursing (2022) document. This course includes synchronous distance learning through computer-assisted technology.
