SPA 399: Internship - spring

Internship experience applying global language skills in the community. Students earn credit by working in an area organization that provides service to Spanish-speaking populations. Students will put into practice their linguistic abilities in Spanish and their knowledge about Hispanic cultures while engaging with diasporic communities. Students will also use critical skills developed in previous courses to reflect upon their experience in light of their knowledge of the Humanities. This is a service-learning course that allows for mutual benefits for students and the community. Through practical application, self-reflection, and experiential learning students will be better prepared to make a positive contribution to social, civic, and/or business organizations.
