Mentorship
A mentor is someone who supports your personal and professional growth by sharing their experiences, offering guidance, and helping you think through challenges and goals. Mentors are not supervisors or evaluators. They are trusted advisors who are there to listen, encourage, and help you build confidence and leadership skills. Mentors in the program agree to meet one hour per month (February–April) for one-on-one conversations focused on:
- Sharing their leadership journey and career experiences
- Offering advice, encouragement, and perspective
- Helping you set goals and reflect on your progress

Participants engage in structured modules designed to build both personal insight and practical leadership skills, including:
- Leadership Defined – Establish a clear, modern understanding of leadership and its impact across professional and community settings.
- Strategic Self-Leadership – Develop self-awareness, confidence, and intentional decision-making to guide personal growth.
- Leading Others – Strengthen communication, collaboration, and influence skills essential for working with teams and stakeholders.
- Growing as a Leader – Apply proven frameworks and reflective practices to create a sustainable, long-term leadership development plan.
"Leading Teams: Developing as a Leader" is a free online course on Coursera. Upon completion, you will receive an e-certificate from Coursera.
