Mental Health Events
October is one of our favorite months at UMassD — full of color, community, and celebration! While we prioritize mental health year-round, October 29 is extra special — as we celebrate our annual Mental Health Day! Take time to relax, connect, and recharge with two full days of wellness, fun, and spooky celebration.
🎉 No classes — all fun!
On October 29, classes are canceled so you can focus on your well-being. Recharge your mind, body, and spirit with activities happening across campus:
- Barn Babies on the Quad
- The Rage Room
- Massages at Unity House
- Mindfulness sessions and sound healing
- Cupcake decorating and pumpkin painting
- Mocktails and recreation stations
- Nature walk for wellness on outdoor trails
- ... and much more!
🌙 Evening highlight: Haunted Walkthrough
As the sun sets, end the day with a thrill! Step into the 2nd Annual Haunted Walkthrough in The Woodlands — if you dare! Gather your friends for a spooky good time full of surprises and scares.
🎠Keep the celebration going: October 30
The fun continues the next day with campus trick-or-treating and our popular student costume contest. Bring your best look and enter to win prizes for creativity, effort, and school spirit.
