Student Handbook

Academic Regulations and Procedures

Students working in a chemistry lab.Students are expected to be familiar with the academic policies and procedures of the institution. Academic regulations and procedures for undergraduate students are found in the General Catalog, which is given to new students and posted on the web. Students should consult the catalogue under which they entered, in general, for the requirements of their programs, but should be aware that each edition of the catalogue may give some new regulations and procedures. For this reason, selections from the academic regulations and procedures section of the newest catalogue are re-printed in each semester’s Course Listings booklets. A Graduate Catalogue lists requirements and procedures for graduate study; it is posted on the web and available in the Office of Graduate Studies.

While one’s academic advisor and university staff and faculty strive to assist students with academic regulations, procedures, and requirements, it is the student’s responsibility to meet requirements.

This Student Handbook does not attempt to replace or reproduce the full information in the catalogues mentioned above. These summaries are intended to draw your attention to the important requirements and regulations so you can consult the catalogues or Course Listing booklets for the specific information.
