Alden

Alden Daley
Sophomore, Computer Science

Web Coordinator
My name is Alden Daley. I am a return student at women resource center. The best part working at wrc is the two nice women who run it of course, and I get to listen to Pink Floyd while doing my work. I'd be batman, cause he's got a pretty awesome car.

Kelly Gossom
Senior, Psychology and Criminal Justice Degree

Office Assistant
My name is Kelly Gossom. I'm a Senior this year graduating with a Psychology and Criminal Justice degree. I'm the office assistant here at the Women's Resource Center and this is my second year. I mainly like working here because of the friendly atmosphere and the closeness of the staff. I feel like I learn something new everyday and I enjoy helping people who need it no matter what the situation. If I could be a superhero I would probably have to be wonderwoman because she is as "beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, swifter than Mercury and stronger than Hercules."

Lama Hassoun
Biology, Political Science Minor

Writer (for Torch related business) and Office Work
My name is Lama Hassoun. This is my first year at the WRC. Working at the WRC manages to merge all my interests in one place: the political and health issues, as well as my passion for writing. The employees here are wonderful; everyone is friendly and makes one feel at home immediately.
If I could be a superhero, I would be Storm from XMen. She has the power to control the weather, and by controlling the wind, she can also fly. Storm faced a lot of obstacles throughout her life, including becoming an orphan at a young age, sexual harassment, and internal struggles to control her powers and emotions. She also dealt with a lot of cultural shock after moving to the United States, which I've had to deal with as well. I feel that it is easy to relate to her.

Sherrie'Anne Andre
Freshman, Undeclared

Office Work
My name is Sherrie'Anne Andre. This is my first year working at Women Resource Center. I enjoy the open and free  thinking atmosphere, and the staff that makes it that way. If I were a superhero, I would be Hawkgirl.

Kayla McCarthy
Sophomore, Sociology/Criminal Justice

Office Assistant
My name is Kayla. This is my second year working at Women Resouce Center. The staff is really cool and nice. It's good learning about the current women issues that are going on right on campus. If I could be a superhero I would be Elektra because she is one of the few girls that gets to use swords. And there's actually a movie about her.

Nikki Nikki Nunes
Sophomore/Junior, Sociology

Office Assistant
My name is Nikki Nunes. This is my first semester at Women Resource Center. I love the staff and I am learning a lot about female issue that a wasn't really aware of. If I could be a superhero I would be rainbow bright.
Anna

Anna Lisa Vust
Senior, Major-Psychology/Minor-Women Studies

Women’s Right Advocate
First Year working here at the WRC. I like working here at the WRC because I get to focus on women’s issues and rights which is a passion of mine. I like it because the WRC is a diverse place to work and I also like attending and planning the great events the WRC puts on each semester. I get to work with some amazing individuals which is an added bonus. It is also worthwhile to me to work here at the WRC because my minor is Women Studies. Overall, I like working at the WRC because there is no discrimination and everyone is welcome here, it is a positive place to work.

If I could be a superhero/heroine, I would like to be Lucy Stone. Lucy was a women’s rights advocate that worked unceasingly to improve the condition of women in the 1800’s. Lucy was the first woman to retain her own name after marriage, and she earned her own way to college by tutoring and doing homework. She worked for Women’s Suffrage to make sure women could be allowed to vote. I would like to by Lucy Stone because she was a successful abolitionist who fought for women equality, she was motivated and relentless in making sure women were allowed to vote. I think she is an amazing person and I would love to be her because she set her own rules to live by.
