AED 478: Documentary Video - spring

Prereq: Junior Standing, any CVPA major

Introduction to producing and editing culturally relevant video content for the classroom that considers ways of facilitating students¿ critical digital literacy. Pedagogical and Artistic Documentary Video Production is an introductory course in documentary and digital media production focused on the use of video as a pedagogical tool for developing knowledge and raising consciousness in art education classrooms, museums and community-based venues. Students will explore ways of teaching digital video production in collaborative and student-centered ways, developing collective assignments that point beyond the traditional conception of the studio artist as working in isolation.
