Apply for housing

Incoming students who wish to live on campus for the upcoming year/semester indicate their interest to live on campus and complete their $200 prepayment as part of their admissions process. More information will be sent to you through the Admissions process, so keep an eye on your email!

Returning students may complete their application for the upcoming academic year, typically beginning in late February or early March, as announced through the Housing and Residential Education Office. The UMass Dartmouth email address is the official means of communication from the university to students. As such, this is where further information will be sent as these processes open.

For all students, when your process is open and applications are active, the following steps can be used to complete your application and agreement.

  1. Log into the portal at http://my.umassd.edu
  2. Click on "Student Resources"
  3. Click on the Student Housing Information Portal (StarRez)
  4. Click on the Student SSO Login toward the bottom of the page. *this is extremely important, make sure you are logging in with your student Single Sign-On login (your UMassD email)*
  5. Click "Housing Application"
  6. Fill out the application for the correct term/academic year.
