Welcome Week 2024 (WOW2024)
Kick off your UMass Dartmouth experience with Weeks of Welcome—a series of events big and small, academic and social, exciting activities and time-honored traditions—some required, all recommended! This is an opportunity to explore the campus, meet new people, and get ready for the first day of classes. You'll also see Corsair champions in action during the first athletic events of the school year.
The 2024 Weeks of Welcome (WOW24) runs from September 1-15. It starts with Move-In Day and includes some of our favorite Corsair traditions like the Class Photo, Student Convocation and All-Campus Picnic. Every new student will also participate in Corsair Olympics - your opportunity to compete in fun events as residential and commuter students. It’s a blast!
Events continue through the first two weeks of classes for new and returning students. There’s something for everyone during Weeks of Welcome! See below for a full list of WOW events!

Network and speak with more than 65 organizations looking to hire students in all majors. Learn more about internships and part-time positions from employers. Well also have volunteer organizations on hand if you are looking for those opportunities. We strongly encourage students with work-study awards to attend, as partners from the Community-Based Work-Study (CBWS) program will be in attendance. You'll discover opportunities to earn your federal work-study award while contributing to the local community through the CBWS program.
Join us for a guided paint night. All supplies will be provided!
One of the best ways of getting involved on campus starts with checking out the clubs and organizations at UMassD. Come meet and speak with representatives from over 100 different clubs, organizations, and campus departments. So take a break, join the fun and make sure to stop by the SAIL booth to see what they just may be giving away. The rain date for this event is Friday 13th. Same space and time!
Join us to create your own sugar scrub or roller ball essential oil!
Learn about study abroad opportunities available to students! Representatives from UMass Dartmouth partner organizations will be there to talk about the details of individual programs. Faculty will be available to discuss UMassD courses abroad. IPO advisors and students will be available to answer questions about applying and how to use financial aid.
Did you know that our campus has a labyrinth next to LARTS? Unlike a maze, labyrinths have one path in and one path out and provide a wonderful opportunity for reflection, contemplation, and stress relief. The Center for Religious and Spiritual Life invites you to join a guided walk through the campus labyrinth with Kari Mofford, Librarian and Meditation Teacher, during the weeks of welcome by signing up for a session. You will then receive an Outlook invite with more information for meeting at the labyrinth. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Kari Mofford - kmofford@umassd.edu
