National Survey of Student Engagement
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) has been administered to first-year students and seniors at UMass Dartmouth every three years since 2002. Hundreds of colleges and universities across the United States (and Canada) use the survey to learn more about their undergraduates' experiences.
NSSE results help to indicate what aspects of the undergraduate experience at UMass Dartmouth are going well and what aspects of the undergraduate program may need improvement. NSSE asks students about their engagement with known good practices in undergraduate education. The survey was updated in 2013.
Focus groups with freshmen and seniors were held in March of 2013 in order to gather in-depth, qualitative data (DOCX) about overall student satisfaction and student satisfaction with the supportiveness of the campus environment at UMass Dartmouth.
