SOA 380: Jews and Judaisms

Introduction to Jewish history, cultures and the variety of Jewish thought and practice. This course explores questions such as: what distinguishes Judaism from other traditions? How are the various traditions of Judaism and cultures of Jews distinct and what do they have in common? Is there a distinctly Jewish mode of reading?
