Now that you are abroad, find below some information to make the most of your time there!

IPO Contact Information

While you are abroad, please contact the IPO with any questions you have. You may contact the IPO by email ( Remember when emailing to include in the subject line "Currently Abroad" or "URGENT: Currently Abroad." In case of an emergency outside of the IPO's business hours, please call 508-999-9191.

Maximize your Experience Abroad

Believe it or not, your time abroad will fly by! Make the most of your experience by looking into volunteer opportunities in the community and/or with an organization connected with what you plan to do professionally. Check with your program coordinator about possible opportunities. Don't forget to try to set up some informational interviews to learn about how organizations and businesses operate abroad. You can continue to build your professional network while studying abroad!

Finding Practical Information

Remember Pre-Departure Orientation? There is a ton of helpful information in the Pre-Departure Orientation powerpoint including links to the US State Department, the Center for Disease Control, etc. Be sure to use it as a resource while you are abroad!

Traveling Outside your Host City?

Don't forget to register your travel with the University's Travel Registry! Please refer to the Travel Registry Job Aid to register any travel outside of your program city.
