Kuali Research replaces previous paper-based proposal routing form (PRF) and email-driven routing process with a centralized, electronic workflow system. This allows us to:

  • Streamline routing and approvals with automated workflow notifications to department chairs, deans, and ORA,
  • Provide real-time visibility into proposal status for principal investigators, co-investigators, and administrators,
  • Reduce administrative burden by centralizing budget information, compliance certifications, and sponsor information in one platform,
  • Ensure institutional compliance with federal regulations,
  • Maintain a complete audit trail for all proposal activities and approvals.

We are adopting a hybrid submission model (PDF and Kuali) in June 2026. However, starting July 1, 2026, Kuali will become the exclusive method for submitting PRFs.
