The first year of college is an exciting time of growth, discovery, and new opportunities—but it can also bring challenges and adjustments. While many students thrive from the start, others may need additional guidance and support as they navigate academic expectations, build new relationships, and develop independence.

Join us Dr. Sarah Cosgrove, Associate Vice-Chancellor for Student Success for Helping Students Succeed, an informative session designed for parents and families. Learn about the many resources, services, and support systems available at UMass Dartmouth and discover practical ways you can encourage your student's academic success, personal well-being, resilience, and confidence while empowering them to become independent and successful college students.

Together, we can help your student make a successful transition and flourish throughout their first year and beyond.  The presentation will provide an opportunity for parents and families to ask question and get answers.
