Clay as art material. A variety of hand forming and moldmaking techniques will be explored through the context of making objects. Expressive use of clay, slip, glaze, and various firing methods will be presented. Open to all University students.

Summer 2024 Course Information: Summer hand building is a fun class for all who want to improve their skills with clay. First timers and experienced ceramicists are all encouraged here. The course will be geared to helping students meet their specific goals within the studio, whether learning basic skills or tackling an advanced project. Instruction will be available 9-12 M-F in person or through receiving the recording. Flexible attendance hours available through zoom attendance. Online (with studio access elsewhere) and hybrid options all available. All demonstrations and instruction will be recorded and posted for students to review.
