Due to the growing threat of the COVID-19 virus the Umass Dartmouth receiving department has taken certain measures to reduce the chance of infection. Central Receiving will still be open Monday through Friday but our hours of operation will be limited to: 
8:00 am-12:00 noon.
Deliveries will only be made on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays unless there are rush or perishable packages. To minimize contact we ask that each department be prepared to receive contact by phone or email to schedule deliveries when offices are empty or close to it. We are working on getting card access as well as key access to the necessary rooms.
If any departments are expecting large orders that need freight shipment and will need the use of a forklift, we ask that you inform the shipping company that those deliveries will only be accepted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays before noon. 
If a freight company is absolutely unable to work with this schedule then please have them contact Central Receiving to schedule shipment. We apologize for any inconveniences that these restricted hours may cause but all decisions have been made with the entire campus health and well being in mind.


The Receiving office is responsible for all items from UPS, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, DHL, and various other trucking and parcel service companies. They are also responsible for the distribution of these items to their according departments around campus. In addition to this service, the receiving office stocks custodial supplies as well as generic university letterheads, envelopes, and stationary labels. NOTE: All student parcel shipping and receiving is located in the campus center.
