Library Resources and Services for Graduate Students in Mechanical Engineering

ABSTRACT:

This session will introduce the wide range of library resources and research support services available to graduate students in mechanical engineering. Attendees will gain insight into navigating specialized research databases, accessing journals and engineering standards, utilizing interlibrary loan services, and applying citation management solutions for scholarly writing. The seminar will also highlight the role of subject librarians in supporting advanced research projects and fostering effective information management practices. 

BIO

Kari Mofford is the Health Science and Engineering Librarian at the Claire T. Carney Library, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. For more than 19 years, she has guided students and faculty in engineering and health sciences through the effective use of research databases, scholarly communication tools, and specialized information resources. She has a strong record of supporting graduate-level research and helping students integrate information literacy skills into their academic and professional work.
