Student Association for Medical Laboratory Science (MLS Club) Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Donor Drive
The Student Association for Medical Laboratory Science (MLS Club), in collaboration with DKMS, a global nonprofit dedicated to saving lives through stem cell and bone marrow donations, will be hosting a stem cell/bone marrow donor drive on Wednesday, November 19th on the first floor of the Campus Center Cafeteria. The drive will run from 12pm–3pm. Volunteers will swab the inside of their cheeks with assistance from medical laboratory science students, and the swabs will be sent to and analyzed at the DKMS lab to determine HLA typing characteristics to match donors and patients. Please stop by and save a life!
