10- and 12-Month Contracts
What are they?
We are aware that sometimes students want or need to stay on campus for break periods. If students choose to stay, we do offer a discount on break housing.
The 10-Month Contract is for those students who prefer or need campus housing during all academic break periods except the summer break. Students choosing 10 month housing may remain in an assigned room through Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break. The 10 month rate includes a 40% discount on the cost of the Break periods. Switching to a 10-month contract will cost students an additional $855 per year ($427.50 per semester) for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The 12-Month Contract is for those students who prefer or need campus housing during all academic break periods including the Summer Break. Students choosing 12 month housing may remain in an assigned room through Thanksgiving, Winter Break Intersession, and Spring Break. ***Summer Break periods will find students moving to the one hall on campus that houses summer students.*** The 12 month rate includes a 40% discount on the cost of the Thanksgiving Break, Intersession, Spring Break, and Summer Break. Switching to a 12-month contract will cost students an additional $3013 per year ($1506.50 per semester) for the 2021-2022 academic year.
PLEASE NOTE THAT 12-MONTH CONTRACTS RUN FROM MID-AUGUST TO MID-AUGUST! This will allow us to clean and prepare for Fall arrivals.
- We have an agreement allowing students to show UMass Pass for free admission to bus with SRTA to include 10- & 12-month student use over all breaks.
- Bus service (routes 9 &10) to campus during all breaks (Thanksgiving, winter, spring, summer) that access Walmart, Target, Dartmouth Mall and grocery store.
