June Orientation

June Orientation is a two-day session required for all first-year students

  • get to know the campus
  • meet other students
  • finalize course selection for your first semesterx

Plan to attend your assigned session. Academic advisors specific to your major will be on hand to assist with course scheduling.

The entire UMass Dartmouth campus community including students, faculty, and staff looks forward to welcoming all First-Year, Transfer, Veteran, and International students along with their families. 

First-year students will attend a two-day on-campus Orientation program during the month of June along with completing an online orientation. 

First-year students: Your invitation to your Orientation Session is sent via email. To register, follow the link in your email invitation.

First-Year families are invited to attend a one-day program that runs concurrently with the first day of the First-Year Orientation programs. 

Transfer Students will complete an online orientation program.  After completing the online orientation, transfer students will work with the Advising, Support and Planning Office to select first semester classes.

Veterans will complete an online orientation program.  After completing the online orientation, transfer students will work with the Advising, Support and Planning Office to select first semester classes. Veteran Students will also be welcomed to campus with a Veterans’ Campus Connection Lunch Reception. 

International Students will be welcomed through the International Student & Scholar Center. 

Our Orientation programs are designed to help ease your transition to UMass Dartmouth for both you and your family. There are important steps for all new students to take before and after orientation, so be prepared and don’t procrastinate.
