Anthropology

Anthropology is the study of the role culture and power play in the world around us. Sociology and Anthropology majors may choose to concentrate in either Anthropology or Sociology, and non-majors may minor in either discipline.

By studying Anthropology, you will:

• analyze culture and power
• develop a holistic perspective
• study communities and cultures
• learn how to conduct field research in local communities

Sociology and Anthropology majors will complete 36 credits in courses related to their major, including a three-credit internship, and 120 credits overall.

Anthropology minors will complete 18 credits, consisting of three core courses and three electives.
