Biography:


Dr. Liudong Xing received her B.E. degree in Computer Science from Zhengzhou University, China, in 1996, and was a Research Assistant in the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1996 to 1998. She was awarded the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia (UVa) in 2000 and 2002, respectively. Since 2002, Dr. Xing has been an Assistant Professor with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Dr. Xing served as a Program co-Chair for the IEEE International Symposium on Dependable, Autonomic and Secure Computing (DASC'06), and an associate Guest Editor for the Journal of Computer Science on a special issue of “Reliability and Autonomic Management” in 2006. She is currently an Editor for the Short Communications in the International Journal of Performability Engineering. She also serves on the program committees of many international workshops and conferences. Her current research interests include dependable computing and networking, reliability engineering, fault-intrusion tolerant computing, and dependable computing in wireless sensor networks. She is a member of IEEE.
