Women in the Sciences and Engineering
Renate Crawford, Makia Powell, and Angela Cunard represent what was once the exception but now is far more commonplace: women successfully pursuing an interest and a career in the sciences and engineering. In the not that distant past, many girls were cautioned not to appear "too smart" in subjects like math or science, and engineering seemed an improbable career choice for them.
