New Hires at Umass Dartmouth Center for Marketing Research
The Center for Marketing Research is proud to announce the addition of several new employees; Holly Cabral, Edward Correia Jr., and Keri Ibbitson. Holly and Edward are currently Graduate Students at Umass Dartmouth, while Keri Ibbitson is finishing her final year as an undergrad at the University.
Holly Cabral, originally from Acushnet, MA, graduated from Umass Dartmouth in May 2009 with a degree in Marketing. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. Edward Correia Jr., originally from New Bedford, MA, also graduated in May 2009. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Marketing, in addition to a minor in Human Resources. Edward is currently working on his Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting.
This semester, Holly and Edward will be working with the Cranberry Marketing Committee of the USA (located in E. Wareham, MA). They will be conducting a market analysis of young consumers and opportunities for the cranberry industry. More specifically, they will be investigating the demand of cranberry products among individuals ages 18-25.
Holly hopes to use this opportunity to move towards her goal of becoming a teacher in business upon completion of her Master’s. She also hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in the future. Edward plans to use this experience to help him become a property investor/ manager in addition to a business teacher at a vocational high school. Both are being provided with an exceptional real-world experience at the Umass Dartmouth Center for Marketing Research that will prove to be significant when they enter the job market.
Keri Ibbitson, originally from Plymouth, MA, is currently a Senior undergrad at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is currently pursing a double major in Marketing and Psychology. Keri has been hired as the Public Relations Assistant at the CMR after completing a 2 month internship at a public relations agency in London, England this past summer. She hopes to graduate with her undergraduate degree in May, and move on to her MBA next fall.
