Jong-Ping Hsu received his B.S. from the National Taiwan University and M.S. from the National Tsing Hua University. In 1965, he entered the University of Rochester (New York) to study particle physics and took his Ph.D. degree in 1969 under Professor S. Okubo. He did research at McGill University, Rutger State University, University of Texas at Austin, Marshall Space Flight Center, NASA, and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He was a visiting scientist at Brown, MIT, Taiwan University, Beijing Normal University and Academy of Science, China. His research has been concentrated in the areas of gauge field theories, unified electroweak theory, fuzzy quantum mechanics and fields, transition between classical and quantum mechanics, Yang-Mills gravity, and broad views of 4-dimensional symmetry. He has published more than 140 papers and articles, and two books, 'Einstein's Relativity and Beyond' and 'Lorentz and Poincaré Invaraince.' He also edited four conference proceedings and "100 Years of Gravity and Accelerated Frames---The Deepest Insights of Einstein and Yang-Mills." He is a chancellor professor of physics and the Director of Jing Shin Research Fund at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
