UMass Dartmouth will screen the film The Journey Of Cape Verde on March 30

The Journey Of Cape Verde is a recent documentary that explores issues of culture, identity and community in Cape Verde and in the growing Cape Verdean diaspora. Narrated in Krioulu and Portuguese (with English subtitles), the film was recently screened at the African Arts and Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Festival in Los Angeles. 

When: The film will be screened at UMD on Wednesday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. 

Where: In the College of Visual and Performing Arts Building, Room 153. 

Who: It will be introduced by the director, Guenny K. Pires, and there will be a discussion following. This event is sponsored by the Department of Sociology/Anthropology, the UMD Chancellor's Office, the Center for Portuguese Studies, the African/African-American Studies Program, and the Equal Opportunity/Diversity/Outreach Office.
