Speaker: Dr. Aly Sabri Abdalla, Assistant Research Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Mississippi State University
Topic: “Toward Secure, Resilient, and Intelligent Wireless Cyber-Physical Systems Through Communication–Computation–Control Coupling”
Abstract: Next-generation wireless networks are evolving from communication infrastructures into intelligent cyber-physical platforms that tightly integrate communication, computation, and control. This evolution enables transformative capabilities such as edge intelligence, autonomous networked systems, and adaptive closed-loop control, while also introducing major challenges in latency, scalability, interoperability, uncertainty, and security. This talk presents research contributions toward building secure, intelligent, and resilient wireless cyber-physical systems, with emphasis on AI-enabled wireless autonomy, edge intelligence, and security for next-generation networked platforms.
Biography: Dr. Aly Sabri Abdalla is an Assistant Research Professor whose work focuses on wireless communications, cyber-physical systems, and AI-enabled networked systems. His research centers on next-generation wireless networks, including 5G/6G, open radio access network , edge intelligence, autonomous systems, and secure closed-loop network control. He has worked on topics spanning wireless security, intelligent resource management, Unmanned aerial vehicle-enabled networks, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, and AI-driven control and optimization. His work aims to develop and advance wireless systems that are adaptive, secure, resilient, and deployable in real-world cyber-physical environments.
The Research Presentation is open to the public free of charge.
