Kaput Center Speakers Series: Operationalizing Culturally Sustaining Pedagogical Theory in the STEM Education Fields
Join Dr. Karen L. Terrell (Loyola University Maryland) and Dr. Diane Silva Pimentel (Brown University) for a talk exploring how culturally sustaining pedagogies can be meaningfully enacted in STEM education. Drawing on three edited volumes, the speakers will discuss how STEM learning spaces can better support diverse learners by honoring culture, identity, and ways of knowing, and how this work can move the STEM education field forward.
