CITS Service Award
Nomination Process
The Computing and Information Technology Services Outstanding IT Service Award is given to a CITS employee who has exemplified outstanding service. This award recognizes distinguished service provided either internally to CITS colleagues or externally to customers within the UMass Dartmouth campus community.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the CITS Outstanding IT Service Award, an employee must:
- have at least one year of continuous service within CITS
- be a credit to CITS through dedication, enthusiasm, and excellence
- not be a member of the CITS Management Team (Associate Vice Chancellor, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Executive Director, Directors)
- not have received the award in any of the previous three years
Nomination
Nominations close Monday, November 30th at 5 p.m. Late nominations will not be considered.
Nominations may come from any CITS employee with the exception of the CITS Outstanding IT Service Award Committee (Associate Vice Chancellor, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Executive Director, Directors) and Student Employees. Nominators may nominate:
- only one CITS employee per award year
- CITS employees other than themselves

You may want to compose your nomination in Word, then copy and paste it into the nomination form.
Selection
The CITS Outstanding IT Service Award Committee will review every nomination. Nominations will be judged upon the following criteria:
- initiative
- innovation
- dedication
- excellence in performance
- service above and beyond expectations
Award
The Outstanding IT Service Award Committee will announce the award recipient at the annual CITS Holiday Celebration in December and present him/her with:
- $100 award
- Outstanding IT Service Award Plaque
The recipient's name will also be displayed on the Annual CITS IT Service Award Plaque.
