Assistant Teaching Professor Basil H. Aboul-Enein (Health & Society) recently co-published "Effectiveness of Puppetry-Based Sexual Health Promotion and Education Interventions: A Scoping Review" in the American Journal of Sexuality Education. The article aims to describe the methods, efficacy, and evidence base for puppetry as a channel for sexual health education interventions across global settings and demographics.
Postdoctoral Research Associate Alanna Mnich, Professor Steve Cadrin (Fisheries Oceanography), and Professor Mark Altabet (Estuarine & Ocean Sciences) co-published "The first application of secondary ion mass spectrometry for the analysis of δ18O in otoliths of larval fish" in Limnology and Oceanography: Methods. This paper discusses a new microscopic analysis method that enables scientists to read chemical markers in fish ear bones to determine where fish are born and how they move.
Professor Emeritus Fahri Karakaya and Professor Emeritus Nora Barnes co-published "Antecedents of Consumer Misbehavior and Motivations" in the Journal of Consumer Satisfaction, Dissatisfaction & Complaining Behavior. The article builds a structural model of the underlying dimensions that lead to consumer misbehavior and seeks to fill gaps in the literature.
The paper "Mission Reliability of Collaborative Heterogeneous Drone Rescue System," co-published for the 2025 Annual Reliability and Maintainability Symposium by Professor Liudong Xing and Junxing Ren (Electrical Engineering Doctoral Candidate), has received the Third Place for the Thomas L. Fagan, Jr., RAMS Student Paper Award in the leading conference in the reliability field.
