My name is Siobhan which means “God is gracious”, and I am from Boston, Massachusetts. I have lived in Boston my whole life, and I have not lived anywhere else. I am Irish, as well as the rest of my family. My family does not talk about where we are from because we are not into it but that is where my name originated. I live with my supportive mom, my generous dad, and my courageous brother.

I have chosen UMass Dartmouth to be my college for the next 4 years because their nursing program is excellent. The nursing field is what I want to pursue with my life, and it seems really hard but it is very successful from the research I have done. I want to work really hard to get the grades I need in order for me to get into the nursing program. Nursing has been my passion since I was little. I also chose UMass Dartmouth because of the strong support system I would have if I was struggling financially, emotionally, and with school work. When I came for my tour I loved the people, they were very friendly, and I liked the food choices they had.

Going into nursing takes a lot of dedication that I am willing to put the time for. I am going to take my knowledge for nursing and make sure I help people around the world when they are in need or hurt. With me becoming a nurse, I want to be sure for all my patients to know about their health and the options for them to have a healthy life. I want my patients to know I am here to help them and their needs, making sure they know they are seen and heard. I want to be able to provide the support and my knowledge when it’s needed. This field would make me able to help my family and the people I love when they are sick, or struggling.
