Share the Dream essay by Andrew Muhammad
Hello, I hope whoever is reading this is doing well today. I’d like to start by telling you about myself. My name is Andrew Muhammad. I am an eighteen year old college student attending UMass Dartmouth. I am from Providence RI, the smallest state in the US. On the contrary, I come from a large family of eleven. I have exactly five older brothers and three older sisters. My mother previously worked in a hospital where she would work with older patients. I am a first generation college student who attended Classical High school, a “college preparatory" school that required a test to be admitted. My family and I grew up in a not so fortunate situation financially. Struggles with finances were a recurring array of issues that troubled me and my family greatly from time to time. As for my hobbies, growing up in Providence and having five brothers who all played basketball for either a team or just as an activity, it was inevitable that I began to play myself and become involved in the sports world. However my biggest dream ever since I was a child, was to be a Youtuber. All of this led me up to now where I am in college and striving to get the best gpa that I could possibly get. Everyday I am trying to balance school, relationships, my passion for creating content, and becoming a better version of myself. My goals are to graduate from college with experiences both academically and socially that I can be proud of, and even more so than that, to have found success in the goals that I have set for myself outside of school. The goal is success, and my definition of success is both monetary and all the things that bring me fulfillment.
