Hello and this is my Future me essay. My name is Spencer Watson. I'm from Clinton, Massachusetts and my family is mostly French Canadian and Scottish. People that make up my family are my mother and father and my three younger siblings; I have two brothers and 1 sister. There have been many obstacles that I have had to face, such as when I joined that track team for the first time in high school. The way that I had to overcome my challenges in my sport is that I would practice non-stop right after school. I thought that I knew what I was getting myself into. I really only thought that I would run track in high school but now I have to compete at the college level. Another obstacle that I had to face was my time management. It is so much hard work to try and understand my own time. To understand your time management you need to understand what may play a role on your time and how you can optimize your time right. One of my biggest accomplishes that i have achieved is that in my three-ish years of running track i had 1 meet where every single kid was watching me pole vault to get over my PR (Personal Record) which at the time was 11 feet and even my coach brought his kid; then they all started to clap for me and cheer me on and i ended up getting it on the third try. I only did two things in college which was Track and Robotics.

The reason that I chose UMass Dartmouth is because they were going to give me the best package for me through all of the schools that accepted me. Umass Dartmouth and especially the college now program gave me the opportunity to succeed and actually get a diploma. My experience in the college now program has been very interesting and now that the program is all over i now understand why they had us do all of those timefilled things that will help us with our education. One part of College Now that helped me the most was probably the part where we could go to the college building and basically rent/borrow anything that we needed. The Degree that I am pursuing is a sociology and anthropology major which is the study of people and the study of civilizations. What I thought of college/high school is that I would be partying 24-7 and thinking that I won't have to do too much work. What motivates me to stay in school is that I want to be an archaeologist that travels the world to gain a better understanding of the world.

The career that I will want after graduation is that I want to be an archaeologist that travels that world. One dream change in the world that I would want to see is that the world could achieve more freedom. My education will help my family and community by researching my archaeology topics and the understanding of why all of these things happened. I want to make my mark in the world with freedom. I want to be so free that no one can tell me what to do, I just want to be me for me.
