UMass Dartmouth named a top performer for social mobility

The U.S. News & World Report once again named UMass Dartmouth a top performer on social mobility in its 2026 edition, ranking No. 110 among all U.S. institutions and second-highest among public universities in New England. Social mobility is an important metric that measures how well colleges and universities graduate economically disadvantaged students.
Out of 433 institutions ranked, UMass Dartmouth placed in the top 25% nationwide and was the highest-ranked university in New England with fewer than 10,000 students.
