The College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) has the pleasure to present the Emerging Young Artists 2015 Invitational Exhibition at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. This is the third annual high school invitational exhibition hosted by CVPA, which showcases the work of many of the region’s talented art students. The Emerging Young Artists 2015 Invitational Exhibition recognizes the exceptional merit of high school art students from twenty-nine high school art programs in Massachusetts.

The EYA 2015 exhibiting schools are: Abington High School, Auburn High School, Barnstable High School, Bishop Connolly High School, Bishop Stang High School, Bourne High School, Brockton High School, CATS Academy Boston, Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, Dartmouth High School, Fairhaven High School, Falmouth High School, Franklin High School, Joseph Case High School, Lunenburg High School, Marlborough High School, New Bedford High School, Northampton High School, Old Rochester Regional High School, Pembroke High School, Plymouth North High School, Revere High School, Seekonk High School, Shawsheen Valley Technical High School, Silver Lake Regional High School, Somerset Berkley Regional High School, Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, Wayland High School, and Westport High School.

The participating schools were invited to be part of the exhibition for the long-term commitment they have demonstrated to art education and for the quality of work that comes from their art programs. The art teachers from these high schools were asked to select artwork in any media (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, film, video, printmaking, graphic design etc.) from their best students to be included in this group exhibition. The result is a marvelous exhibit that showcases the talents of these young artists, with over 100 artworks on display.
