Ceramics alumna receives award from American Craft Council

Jennifer Ling Datchuk, MFA '08, is the winner of the American Craft Council 2017 Emerging Voices Artist Award.

Jennifer Ling Datchuk has received the 2017 Emerging Voices Award given through the American Craft Council.

The American Craft Council established the awards in 2015 to recognize and celebrate the talents of remarkable young makers who contribute to craft with their hands, minds, and creative spirits.

She was chosen by jurors Karen Hampton, textile artist; Jiseon Lee Isbara, Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor, Oregon College of Art and Craft; Michael Radyk, AAA Director of Education; and T’ai Smith, Associate Professor, University of British Columbia and 2015 Emerging Scholar recipient.     

Recipients receive $10,000 as recognition for their outstanding work in the field.
