Law school seeks final approval Feb. 2 -- Webcast available

The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education meets Feb. 2 to consider final approval of UMass Dartmouth's proposal to offer the state's first public law degree program.

The Board of Higher Education will meet Tuesday, February 2 at 10 a.m. at the Bridgewater State College Campus Center, 2nd Floor, Large Ballroom, Grove Street, Bridgewater to vote on the UMass Dartmoth proposal to offer the state's first public law degree.

This proposal is made possible by a Southern New England School of Law donation to the university of $23 million in assets, including a 75,000 square foot facility, 140,000 volume library, 8.5 acres of land, information technology infrastructure and other equipment and furnishings, and cash.

A bus for students, faculty, staff, and friends of the two institutions is scheduled to leave from UMass Dartmouth Campus Center bus stop at 8:45 a.m. and pick up riders at Southern New England at 9 a.m.
