"A Celebration of Transformation:" UMass Dartmouth Chancellor's Inauguration to highlight student, faculty, alumni achievement

UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Divina Grossman to be formally inaugurated on April 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Main Auditorium

Chancellor Divina Grossman will be officially inaugurated as the leader of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on April 4, as part of a week-long series of lectures, discussions and activities comprising a "Celebration of Transformation." The highlights include the best of UMass Dartmouth as it has evolved, and the transformative impact that the university has had on individuals and communities. 

All students, faculty and staff have been invited to the Inauguration ceremony and all surrounding activities. The public is also invited. 

The Chancellor's Fund for Student Success has been established through the UMass Dartmouth Foundation to raise funds to support scholarships, internships, and other activities that position students to succeed at the University and in life after graduation.

Come learn from a professional on starting businesses focused on being "socially green." This course is taught by a National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship-certified graduate student, Katrina Semich '11.

The work of students from throughout the University will be on display, including Endeavor Scholars' Junior Year Global Projects, Three Minute Thesis presentations, digital media creations, and more.

Professor Anna Dempsey moderates a panel discussion with Robert Miklos and Ben Youtz of Design Lab Architects and Jonathan Austin and Jennifer McGrory with Austin Architects, all of whom collaborated on the recently-completed Library renovation, along with Grattan Gill from the original Paul Rudolph team and joined by Library Assistant Dean Catherine Fortier-Barnes.
