GoLocal's 2nd Annual Super Ranking based on 60+ factors

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is the second-highest-ranked public university in the Commonwealth, second only to UMass Amherst, according to a new ranking of 86 New England colleges and universities. 

According to GoLocal, their researchers "assessed more than 60 different factors covered by the data, from overall quality rankings both nationally and regionally to rankings for best professors, housing, diversity, nightlife, career preparation, social/academic balance, and of course, food." 

In the last year, UMass Dartmouth has also won national and regional accolades, as one of the nation's top 1% of univerisities for civic engagement as a member of the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. 

Washington Monthly also called UMass Dartmouth one of the universities "doing an outstanding job while keeping prices low at the same time, helping students earn valuable diplomas without being shackled by debt...providing huge benefits to their students and their nation." 

U.S. News & World Report last year rated UMass Dartmouth as the top public "regional university" in New England, according to the recently released U.S. News & World Report rankings, and the university's College of Engineering is listed among the best undergraduate programs in the country. 

The Times of London, meanwhile, has released a new survey of the world's universities in which the University of Massachusetts system ranks 42nd.
