Chancellor Grossman, UMass Dartmouth students, and Arnie the Corsair to join together on parade route

UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Divina Grossman will join students and beloved mascot Arnie the Corsair at the Dartmouth 350th Parade, this Sunday, September 7, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with the parade set to start at Dartmouth Middle School. This year's parade celebrates a significant milestone for the Town of Dartmouth and will feature community floats, antique cars, music, performances, and more.

This year also marks an important milestone for UMass Dartmouth. While the University's proud history dates back to 1895, 50 years ago, on June 14, 1964, civic and education leaders broke ground in Dartmouth to create Paul Rudolph's 710-acre architectural vision of an academic utopia. Now, in 2014, as the Town of Dartmouth is celebrating its 350th anniversary, UMass Dartmouth will celebrate its 50th in the town.
