The photography of UMass Dartmouth and BMC Durfee High School students will be on display at the City of Fall River's Government Center. The opening of the local exhibit "Fall River Portraits from the Walkable City" opens tomorrow, December 4, 2014, at 4 p.m., in the Staircase Galleries of Government Center. The students photographed and interviewed business owners and employees in shops along the streets of Pleasant, South Main, and Columbia in Fall River. The show is a tribute to the people and places of the city.

The project, which showcases a collaborative effort among university and high school students, was sponsored by a University of Massachusetts Creative Initiatives Grant. The photographs of Fall River's neighborhoods and small business will on display at Government Center through May of this year.
