Master of Science programs in accounting, technology management will expand University's leadership role in regional and statewide innovation economy
New degrees in accounting and technology management at UMass Dartmouth were given final approval by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, continuing to support the University's expanded leadership role in building the regional and statewide innovation economy. Beginning in the fall of 2015, UMass Dartmouth will offer two new Master of Science programs both being offered by the Charlton College of Business.
The new degrees include:
-- Master of Science in Accounting degree program at UMass Dartmouth strives to add to the undergraduate accounting educational experience by developing in students the broader and deeper technical accounting knowledge and enhanced communication, technology and problem-solving skills necessary for success in professional accountancy and business.
--Master of Science in Technology Management program is designed with the primary goal of helping engineers and managers appreciate and comprehend the complexity of management challenges in today's technology-driven, Internet based, dynamic, and globalized business world.
In October of this year, UMass Dartmouth announced new degrees in health care management, data science, and chemistry/biochemistry. These degree programs advance the goals of the University's strategic plan, UMassDTransform2020, and enhance UMass Dartmouth's outstanding academic programs and overall excellence in undergraduate, graduate and professional education.
