Endeavor Scholar Jacob Miller to Speak at North Shore Community College March 26

UMass Dartmouth sophomore and Endeavor Scholar Jacob Miller will be part of a panel of expert speakers addressing important social justice issues, Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at North Shore Community College's (NSCC) Lynn Campus gym, for a public forum on Waging the War on Poverty Fifty Years Later -- How You Can Enlist!. 

Jacob was asked to take part of the forum to discuss his advocacy for affordable healthcare insurance for college students during his internship with State Senator Mark Montigny. He will be joined by fellow panelists: 

Jacqueline Cooke, Regional Administrator, Women's Bureau, Region One, U.S. Department of Labor 

Daniel Lesser, Executive Director of the Essex County Community Organization (ECCO) Coalition and spokesperson for RaiseUp Mass. 

Randy Albelda, Professor of Economics and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Social Policy at UMass Boston and Graduate Program Director of the MA in Applied Economics at UMass Boston.
