News 2015: Massachusetts energy policy to be focus of upcoming SouthCoast Development Partnership meeting

Energy Forum with State Representative Patricia Haddad scheduled for Oct. 9

An Energy Forum with State Representative Patricia Haddad is scheduled at the next meeting of the SouthCoast Development Partnership (SCDP). The meeting will be held Friday, October 9 at 8 a.m. at UMass Law’s Moot Court Room (333 Faunce Corner Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747).

Representative Haddad has recently filed comprehensive energy legislation. The forum will include remarks from the Representative, who serves as Speaker Pro Tempore of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, followed by a panel discussion featuring stakeholders representing a variety of energy sectors and the local manufacturing labor industry.

‌‌‌The SCDP's mission is to initiate, support and advocate for regional economic development, educational attainment, and workforce readiness initiatives that enhance the quality of life on the SouthCoast through a collaboration of public and private leaders and UMass Dartmouth in a manner that is consistent with the UMass Dartmouth Strategic Plan.
