Former New Bedford Poet Laureate to visit UMass Dartmouth tomorrow April 21 for poetry reading

UMass Dartmouth's College of Arts & Sciences has invited the University community and the general public to a poetry reading from "The Music & Other Selected Poems" by Everett Hoagland Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 2-3:30 p.m., at UMass Dartmouth's Claire T. Carney Library Stoico/FIRSTFED Charitable Foundation Grand Reading Room. Everett Hoagland served as the Poet Laureate of New Bedford 1994-1998.  He is the recipient of the 2015 Langston Hughes Award. 

National Poetry Month is the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K-12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, literary events curators, publishers, bloggers, and, of course, poets marking poetry's important place in our culture and our lives.
