UMass Dartmouth nursing alumna Renee Laurencelle '15, of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, will run for the third year in a row in the Boston Marathon. Renee, a former member of the University's women's track and field and cross country teams, is running to raise money for the Krystle Campbell Scholarship Fund.  The scholarship provides monetary support to students across the five campuses of UMass. The scholarship is dedicated to Krystle Campbell, a former student at UMass Boston, who tragically succumbed to injuries in the April 2013 bombings at the Boston Marathon.

This year a $5,000 scholarship through the Krystle Campbell Scholarship Fund was awarded to UMass Dartmouth Charlton College of Business student Charmagne Loyola. Charmagne, who holds a 4.0 GPA, will be presented with her scholarship today at an event held at UMass Boston. The scholarship was set up by University of Massachusetts Trustee Richard P. Campbell, J.D.
