News 2016: Burda presents at Lavender Law

Professor Jason Potter Burda presented at Lavender Law.

In August 2016, Professor Jason Potter Burda led a well-attended workshop at the National LGBT Bar Association's 2016 Lavender Law Conference.  His presentation, entitled "Realizing the Promise of HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for Everyone," addressed his recent article on PrEP for youth. Professor Burda was the only legal academic who had published on PrEP access issues. His recent article on PrEP access for youth influenced New York Governor Cuomo's announcement that the state would establish protocols to protect the confidentiality of minors who access PrEP.
